You may upgrade or downgrade your account at any time.
What if I exceed the maximum monthly traffic or disk quota in my plan?
Each extra gigabyte of traffic or megabyte of disk space will cost extra. We recommend you watch your disk usage and site traffic closely. If you find that you are exceeding the limits of your hosting package, it is advisable to upgrade to a better plan to meet your traffic and/or disk usage needs. This will be much cheaper than paying over-usage fees in addition to your monthly hosting charges.
Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day. You may upload files to your web site at any time.
May I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes, you may use your account for commercial purposes.
What can't I do with my Web space?
Attempts to bring down our servers are forbidden. This means no warez, hacking, or other illegal activity. Adult websites, hate groups, and/or links to them are NOT allowed. Such sites will be suspended, warned, and then removed. In addition, you are not allowed to use your e-mail account to send spam (mass un-solicited, commercial, and/or junk email).
Do I have to post Xerorip.com's banner on my page?
No, you are not required to post our banner or any other material on your site. The content of your site is your choice. If you wish to display a Xerorip banner, you can find one on our Swag Page.
Is your server accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? If not, why?
Yes. All aspects of your account are accessible day or night.
Which operating system do you use on your servers?
We use a Linux operating system.
What are autoresponders and do you offer them?
Xerorip does offer autoresponders which are used for sending automated email responses from your incoming e-mails.
What software can be used to process electronic mail traffic?
(example - Outlook, Netscape mail, Pine, Thunderbird, etc.)
You may use any POP3 email client of your choice to send and read your emails. We also offer webmail.
Will I be able to link to my site without adding the prefix 'WWW' in front of the my domain?
(example - http://mydomain.com)

Will I have FTP access to my website?
When you set up your account, you will be able to configure your FTP access (including username and password) from within your control panel.
Do you provide personal CGI-BIN directories?
Yes, we do.
What is CGI?
CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface and is a compact language that was designed to provide interactivity on a website. Though it has many uses, CGI is commonly used to process information submitted on a form such as a guestbook or email form. You may either write your own CGI scripts or use one of the pre-made scripts available in you web hosting package.
How can I operate POP3 email accounts (adding / deleting / updating)? How can I forward mails?
Clicking the "E-Mail" button in your control panel will allow you to perform all of these functions.
May I advertise my site through the use of unsolicited email (spam)?
The use of spam is a violation of Xerorip's Terms of Service. The account of any client who has dispatched unsolicited e-mails will be suspended within 24 hours pending a full investigation. Unused prepayments will be lost in this case.
